A Statement Signing: Texas Scorpions Land Itan Chavira
The Texas Scorpions Roller Hockey Organization has officially signed Itan Chavira—widely regarded as the best player in the roller hockey world. It’s a defining move for the program and a clear signal that the Scorpions intend to compete at the highest level.
The Standard Just Changed There are good signings. There are big signings. And then there are statement signings. The Texas Scorpions are proud to officially welcome Itan Chavira to the organization—a player many consider the best in the roller hockey world. This isn’t hype. It’s résumé. Chavira has built his reputation on production, consistency, and performance in the biggest moments the sport offers. Championships. National tournaments. Elite competition. When the pace rises and the pressure tightens, he doesn’t disappear—he dictates. That’s not common. That’s rare. More Than Skill Elite players don’t just score. They shift culture. What makes this signing significant isn’t just Chavira’s hands, vision, or ability to control tempo—it’s the professionalism he brings. Preparation. Detail. Accountability. Those traits align directly with what the Texas Scorpions are building. We don’t chase names for attention. We pursue players who elevate standards. Adding Chavira reinforces that the Scorpions are serious about competing at the highest levels of roller hockey—Pro Platinum, national tournaments, and every major stage we step onto. A Message to the Roller Hockey World This move signals something clearly: Texas is not here to participate. The Scorpions have invested in infrastructure, development, and identity. Signing one of the most respected and accomplished players in the sport confirms that elite talent believes in what’s being built here. Itan Chavira chose the Scorpions. That matters. It means our culture is real. It means our direction is clear. It means our ceiling just rose. The Right Fit. The Right Time. For our younger players—especially at the U18 and development levels—this signing represents access to a living standard. They’ll see firsthand what elite preparation looks like. They’ll understand what it takes to operate at the top of the sport. For our Pro Platinum roster, it adds experience and composure in moments that decide championships. For North Texas roller hockey, it raises the bar. The Work Begins Excitement is earned on the floor. Reputation is protected there too. We’re proud to welcome Itan Chavira to the Texas Scorpions family. But pride isn’t the finish line. It’s the starting point. Now we build.
